What nervous flyers say
When I'm up 40,000 feet in the air right now, stats don't help me — like I want to be on the ground.
You jump to the worst case scenario every time — you hear a noise, oh that must be… the engine falling out.
I felt like the worst mother in the world because I had never taken my kids to Disney in Florida.
The things that helped them — slowing the body down, understanding the noises, small daily steps — are what we built into Carry On.
Anonymised quotes from nervous-flyer interviews and communities. Not reviews of Carry On.

I watched someone I love dread a flight for months.
I love to travel. Flying has never really bothered me. I just power through it, because what else are you going to do?
Then we planned a family trip, and I watched my dad start dreading the flight months before we left. He talked about getting medication. He got restless and on edge. And even though I've never felt it that strongly myself, I caught myself thinking: there has to be something better than this. Something right there on your phone, whenever the nerves hit.
Here's what I learned. A lot of flight anxiety is your body reacting to not being in control, and to things you can't predict: a strange noise, a bump, a door that won't open again until you land. Your heart races and your breathing gets shallow, even when nothing is wrong. That's a body thing, not a you thing, and there are simple, quiet ways to help it settle.
Nobody should have to dread a trip for months, land on vacation already worrying about the flight home, or miss the reunions, the work trips and the family holidays because of it.
So we built Carry On, so you can book the flight, carry on with your life, and enjoy what you went there for.
Our promise to you
Questions you're probably asking
My flight is in 3 days. Is that too late?
No. Calm Now and Understand work straight away, and Prepare compresses to whatever time you have.
Does it work with no Wi-Fi?
Yes. Every in-flight tool works in airplane mode once you've opened it on the ground.
I've tried CBT, hypnosis or a course. Why would this be different?
Those mostly happen before the flight. Carry On is built for the flight itself — in your seat, when it counts — and it's with you every day leading up to it.
My fear isn't crashing. It's feeling trapped.
That is exactly what Calm Now is for: quiet tools to steady your body when the door closes and there's nowhere to go.
Will thinking about flying every day make it worse?
Prepare starts gently and you set the pace. You can pause anytime.
Can anyone see what I'm using?
The panic tools are silent and need no audio, and a cover screen makes the app look like your email.
I haven't flown in 10+ years. Is it too late for me?
Can it help me prepare my kids?
Is this an app I download?
It opens in your phone's browser and saves to your home screen. No app store, no password — just your email.
Is this a replacement for therapy or medication?
No. Carry On is a coping and preparation companion. Talk to your doctor about anything medical.
What if it doesn't help me?
